Hello,

I am quite new in SAS Web Reporting Studio. I have an application
build by someone else and now I am having problem with the default
report.
In our SWRS we have a default report, this default report has
authorization on the data for certain users, we called it user group
profile. We have created a new user for a new profile. I have set the
default report and attached it to the profile in SMC (in BI Manager
part in SMC) and I set the authorization manager too in SMC for each
column in the cube which is matter. But when I try it in SAS WRS , the
default report doesn't show and give a message : The system was unable
to complete your request. and when I click on ERROR detail, it only
has this message :

Error messages:There is a problem with the current page.

java.lang.NullPointerException
at
org.apache.jsp.reportManagerContent_jsp.prepareToRender(reportManagerContent_jsp.java:
671)
[ 109 lines suppressed ]

First I thought maybe I made mistake on assigning the authorization .
So I tried to open it in SAS SEG using this profile and it works fine.
the authorization was assigned perfectly... so it can only see certain
data.
Could you help me to pin point where is the problem? Is there any
other log then the WebReportStudio.log which is more detail on why the
error happened. And is there something that I miss to assign or
update ?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Make sure that public user in the authorization tab has read and write
permissions to your application.

Thanks,

Hello Shiva,

Thanks for the replay, and yes I have put the user profile to have
read and write permission in authorization tab to the application. But
it's still not working...

Do you know something else that I should check ?
