From: Administrator on 9 Nov 2009 18:29 Hello: We are running SBS 2003 R2 with 5 clients with WinXP. We have Vista Enterprise on one client and cannot signon to the Server without getting the error message: "The trust relationship between this workstation and the primary domain failed", even with administrator signon. The Vista w/station was connecting to the server, but failed after I deleted the client workstation on the server while trying to resolve another issue. Any help on reconnecting this Vista w/station would be appreciated. Charlie

From: CharlieL on 9 Nov 2009 20:16 Hello Merv: Thanks for the quick response. We don't have the local administrator password - where does that leave us with your advice? Thanks. From: Larry Struckmeyer[SBS-MVP] on 9 Nov 2009 20:42 In case Merv has gone on to other duties, any Domain administrator can change the local admin password. Or, if you have issues with this there are free programs to reset the local admin password. Try loging on to the system in question as the domain admin and see if you can change the local admin password or create a new local admin. - Larry Please post the resolution to your issue so others may benefit - Get Your SBS Health Check at www.sbsbpa.com > Hello Merv: > > Thanks for the quick response. From: Merv Porter on 9 Nov 2009 21:13 And/or... unplug the workstation's Ethernet cable and see if you can log on with cache credentials. If you can log on, change the local administrator password.
