From: JohnnyP on 5 Apr 2010 16:58 Hi. New SBS 2008 install, 2 months old, Just starting to configure users POP accounts for the connector. Client is NOT interested in switching from POP collection. I get this error message when trying to start the SBS 2008 POP3 Connector: The Windows SBS POP3 Connector service terminated with service-specific error 13 (0xD). The message contents are: POP3 schedule is misconfigured (there should be 1, but there is actually 0) I have removed and reinstalled the pop3 connector as per MS, no issues have been fixed, I STILL cannot start the service without getting this error. Of course the service does not start and I cannot configure it. I can find virtually no info on the internet about this, but what I have seen is that the exchange groups say its not exchange its sbs, the sbs groups say its not sbs, its exchange. All I want is a clear answer and correction to the problem. How can I correct the pop3 connector service so it starts and runs? How can I configure the thing so it has its "1" and not a "0" as stated in the error message without the service running? Any input is appreciated. Thanks
From: Damian Leibaschoff [MSFT] Damian Leibaschoff on 6 Apr 2010 13:31 Hi, It looks like you have a corrupt configuration file, the configuration is stored in \program files\Windows small business server\data\pop3records.dat Rename that file, go back to the SBS Console, Network, Connectivity, open the POP3 Configuration, configure at least 1 account and the configuration file should be recreated, once that happens, try to start the service again.
