From: Mike on 27 May 2010 16:41 Hi folks, I can't find this by googling for it, but I'm in the process of setting up my new Dell Server to virtualize SBS 2008 Premium and the companion Server 2008 with SQL. I created a Raid 10 for my drives and installed the Dell Config program, and it prompted me for the OS, Server 2008 64, and I inserted the DVD and it wants the product key. The back of the DVD holder has two product keys, "Windows Server 2008 Virtual" and "Windows Serve 2008 Physical". I'm not sure which one to pick for the Server 2008 install for Hyper V as the parent partition, is it the virtual product key or the physical one? Anyone know? Thanks, Mike

In that case you should use the second server of SBS Premium to install OS and the Hyper-V "Parent/Host" instance. HyperV services is not supported (and doesn't work) with SBS Server standard as the Parent/Host. -- Please visit Microsoft SBS Technet Forum; http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/smallbusinessserver/threads--/kj
