He everyone,

I have had a very strange experience with moving SBS 2003 sever to new
hardware, I have managed to move about 20 of them with no problem at all
( all going to the same Intel server board S5500HCV board ).

But on 2 occasions I have come across a problem with using PAE, now
these 2 machine came from same model of system board ( another Intel
board ) but when the system boots using PAE it will blue screen of death

( 0x050 Page fault in non paged area )

I have spoken to Intel about this and they cannot really offer any
assistance other than changing the board or changing the bios options.
( but the boards are fine as they work normally under a clean install )

I have also opened a case with MS support, there answer was to
re-install from scratch (which is not an option as both these customers
have 50+ machines ) despite them remotely connecting to the machine and
running various tests.

Now I have a test machine with the same hardware and I can replicate
this problem at will using a backup from the customers live server. And
the first time I booted the system before all the system drivers were
install it would see the whole 4GB no problems so I am thinking there
some driver in there from the old board that is some how compatible with
the new hardware and causing a conflict.

I have tried removing all non present devices from device manager just
want some thoughts from the rest of you guys in case there is something
I have missed.

Cheers in advance

I have never had to use the /PAE Switch on SBS and it has always seen/used
the 4GB of Memory
(This is not needed on SBS)
