From: Ferrell Ramey on 15 Jan 2010 11:10 I have two nic's in my server, but one is disabled. When I do a network scan I see the IP address of the server twice. The real on 192.168.1.2 and another time at 192.168.1.89 I can ping .89 and it is alive and is the SBS2003 server. My server is VERY slow and I'm not sure that this has anything to do with it, but I'd like to resolve it if it is an issue. -- Thanks! Ferrell
From: Cliff Galiher - MVP on 15 Jan 2010 11:16 Are you *sure* that NIC is disabled? Let's start with an ipconfig /all from the server. -Cliff "Ferrell Ramey" <FerrellRamey(a)discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:3CDF08B2-7314-4A9B-AB5C-D95047CCA1F2(a)microsoft.com... > I have two nic's in my server, but one is disabled. If you dig through the RRAS management, you'll find it referred to as the 'internal' interface though, as you've found, it is reported on external scans. If you use VPN, it's the address used for the SBS end of the tunnel. -- Joe

From: Ferrell Ramey on 15 Jan 2010 12:51 Cliff, thanks for the quick response. I don't ever remember configuring the second NIC and I actually used the Wizard to set the server up. Is the PPP setup normal? -- Thanks!
