From: Dennis3006 on 29 Apr 2010 10:55 We have a SBS2003 Server and some Windows 7 Notebooks. After the windows 7 Notebooks joined the Domains we could not install Printer with alternative drivers for windows 7. Printers will be deliverd by a loginscript. And the SBS 2003 has no options du install windows 7 drivers for the Clients. Did anyone know how we could change it that the loginscript can deliver the windows 7 printer driver via SBS 2003 ?
From: "Robbin Meng [MSFT]" on 4 May 2010 22:49 Hello Dennis, Thanks for your post. To deploy printer connections using Group Policy, add the PushPrinterConnections.exe utility to a machine startup script (for per-machine connections) or to a user logon script (for per-user connections). The utility reads the printer connection settings made in the GPO and adds the printer connection. Please refer to the below article to deploy printers for your clients via Group Policy: Deploy printers by using Group Policy http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc722179(WS.10).aspx More related information about installing printer drivers by script Script Center > Repository > Printing > Install Printer Drivers (Microsoft) http://gallery.technet.microsoft.com/scriptcenter/en-us/61790f64-e98b-4f73-9518-2978979ccb49 Hope this helps.
