I was trying to see Disks information in SMC . I had that error :

Attempt a list of all disks failed with unexpected CIM error :
CIM_ERR_FAILED.

Any explanations?

What does "format" show? What is in /var/adm/messages?

telling me to issue
# smosservice list -H Homer -u root -p pass1234 --

but is this command require basic service contract ?
