From: Glenn on 2 Aug 2010 05:28 Hi All I have a customer who has a sbs2008 standard version running on thier server. They have just bought a program that requires sql2008 (not sure yet if it needs to be the full version or can be the lite version) Will SQL2008 install ok on this sbs box as I know you would usually buy the correct version with sql. Thanks Glenn
From: Larry Struckmeyer[SBS-MVP] on 2 Aug 2010 08:40 You need to verify if it can use one of the lesser versions of SQL, but yes, those install fine on SBS 2008. If you need the full version, it is a *lot* less expensive to upgrade your SBS to Premium... you get a second license of Windows Server Standard and a full blown license for SQL.
