From: Alex on 18 May 2010 09:00 I have SQL2008SP1 (10.0.2531), set new maintenance job with cleanup (c:\backup\ and * as extension) Execution is fine, but nothing is deleted. Have some .bak and .7z files in c:\backup\ folder. I know there was a problem in 2005, but SP2 helped. What now? Thank you

* doesn't work. And also, only backup files will be deleted. So enter bak and handle the .7z files using some different method. -- Tibor Karaszi, SQL Server MVP http://www.karaszi.com/sqlserver/default.asp http://sqlblog.com/blogs/tibor_karaszi "Alex" <Alex(a)me> wrote in message news:OVRphoo9KHA.420(a)TK2MSFTNGP02.phx.gbl... > I have SQL2008SP1 (10.0.2531), set new maintenance job with cleanup > (c:\backup\ and * as extension) > Execution is fine, but nothing is deleted.
