From: David Hodgson on 22 Mar 2010 13:10 Hi, I have samba running on openSuSE with windows, linux and mac clients. To save space we'd like to hardlink duplicate files to each other (typically 10M+ images). Unfortunately samba does an overwrite in place instead of move-create-delete, so the file gets changed everywhere if it is replaced. Typical changes are edits of documents in openoffice or saves of updated images from gimp. Is there any way to force samba to do overwrite as move-create-delete instead of overwrite in-place? Or is there a better solution to what I'm trying to do? Thanks David -- To unsubscribe from this list go to the following URL and read the instructions: https://lists.samba.org/mailman/options/samba
