From: Abraham Alawi on 14 Feb 2010 23:30 There's a known incompatibility issue between Mac OS X Finder and "unix extensions" in Samba, Finder ignores the POSIX ACLs if the extensions are turned on (no problem with the command line interface of Mac), the only working solution I've seen so far is turning the extensions off but that causes problems to other Samba clients particularly Linux ones that need to create symlinks. Anyone is aware of a better solution for this problem? http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=7349655 Cheers, -- Abraham '''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''' Abraham Alawi Unix/Linux Systems Administrator Science IT University of Auckland e: a.alawi(a)auckland.ac.nz p: +64-9-373 7599, ext#: 87572 '''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''' -- To unsubscribe from this list go to the following URL and read the instructions: https://lists.samba.org/mailman/options/samba
