From: Petert on 9 Mar 2010 06:47 I've been tasked by my daughter to find out if there is a Facebook app for use with a Samsung Blade (S5600) - that will enable her to access Facebook for even longer than she does at present! Anyone got any suggestions? -- Cheers Peter (Reply to address is a spam trap - pse reply to the group)

A quick Google suggests that yes, there is. I'm sure you're wondering how I found this out - a clever combination of "Samsung Blade S5600 Facebook" into Google and sure enough, it turned up. If she is accessing Facebook, I assume she has internet access. If so, maybe she could also access Google instead of asking her Dad, the lazy bint! -- Soon to be ex-O2 UK Home Broadband & Vodafone IE Mobile Broadband user

I tried Google - the web page that came up meant nothing to me! The Samsung website appears to have an app for facebook, but only for the Omnia http://www.samsungapps.com/topApps/topAppsDetail.as?productId=000000020414&listYN=Y > >If she is accessing Facebook, I assume she has internet access. Well isn't she lucky that you are under less pressure! ;-) As it is a HSDPA capable phone and assuming she would run it with a data tariff, she could certainly access Facebook via the browser. This link suggests there is a widget for Facebook: http://www.knowyourmobile.com/samsung/samsungs5600/s5600userguides/340213/setting_up_and_using_widgets_on_the_samsung_blade_s5600.html The best bet I suppose is to go into a Vodafone store and have a play.... -- Soon to be ex-O2 UK Home Broadband & Vodafone IE Mobile Broadband user
