From: mkilbour on 1 Jun 2010 12:11 Using Excel 2007 on Windows XP: Monthly I select hundreds of Excel files from Windows Explorer, right click and select Print. It would open an Excel file, print it, close it and repeat for the next file. I could go home for the evening, and the hard copies would be on my printer when I came in the next morning. I am now getting a prompt asking if I want to save the file before closing it. This means I have to be present and respond for every file it opens. How can I disable this prompt?
From: Luke M on 1 Jun 2010 13:54 Sounds like at least one of the files has a volatile function such as: =NOW() Possible workaround: Open XL, change calculation mode to manual (Tools-Options-Calculation), then open all the files and print. This would prevent Volatlite functions from recalculating. On the other hand, if you wrote a macro to open & print all your files, the command code needed at the beginning would be: Application.DisplayAlerts = False -- Best Regards, Luke M "mkilbour" <mkilbour(a)discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:2B802F44-68F9-4ADB-BE5D-C46C4591848E(a)microsoft.com... > Using Excel 2007 on Windows XP: Monthly I select hundreds of Excel files > from > Windows Explorer, right click and select Print. From: Gary Brown on 1 Jun 2010 15:05 When you close each workbook, use something like... application.ActiveWorkbook.Close savechanges:=False -- Hope this helps. If it does, please click the Yes button. Thanks in advance for your feedback.
