Okay. The guy's had it a few days now, so hopefully he'll have worked out how to most comfortably (eg) type on his lap or whatever. I'll try to get a decent go at typing in landscape and portrait as well, for first-hand experience. I reckon best experience will be a) thumb-typing in portrait held like an iPhone or b) "proper" typing in landscape lying on a table.
