Hello,
We have been using Navision for several years now and we are now looking at
implementing Automatic Data Collection. One peice of this is our scan guns.
We are planning on running Navision in a terminal services enviornment and
buying scan guns that have terminal services clients on them.

We are currently on version 4.0 and are planning to migrate to 6.0 SP1
within the next year, after ADC.

I have been told that it is very uncommon to deliver an application to a
handheld device with terminal services.

So, these are my questions:
1). How do you or (most companies) deliver navision to scan guns? Do you use
terminal services, install the nav client on the scan gun, or something else
entirely?

2). Do you find that this changes when the companies goes to version 6?
Should the version 6 client run as well in this enviornment as the version 4
client?

3)We have one consultant telling us that we are going to use TS in version 6
SP1 and another saying we are going to use web services in version 6 SP1. Has
anyone ever used the web client on a scan gun like this?

4). is there anything in particular that I should look for in a scan gun?
For example, do you have any feedback in terms of CE vs Mobile vs XPe vs
something else?

5). Any other comments or suggestions would be appreciated.
