If so then you can find its log in the Event Viewer (eventvwr.exe).

How did you run scandisk on Windows XP? Is this a third party application? -- Shenan Stanley MS-MVP -- How To Ask Questions The Smart Way http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html

No, I do: double-click My Computer, then right-click the removable disk icon, Properties, Tools, Error-checking. I said "Scandisk" because in the italian version of XP there is: "Esegui ScanDisk..." ("Run ScanDisk..."). When I scan the system disk, I find the log in: Event Viewer, Application, Winlogon, Event ID 1001, but I don't see the log of the last scan that I did on the removable disk.
