Bill-

Use Preview to build your PDF. Drag documents from the desktop into the
sidebar.

I've tried mixing various graphic format files as well as PDF files.
Text and HTML files don't seem to be acceptable.

The way the new photocopier / scanner / printer works at the place I
work, you dump the multi-page document into the sheet feeder (the same
one used for making multi-sheet photocopies), hit the scan button, and
when it is finished you hit an item that appears on the touch screen
that says "save to network". They had to set up a default directory for
it to dump all the stuff into, but other than that the machine itself
does the multi-page PDF creation on its own.

So, you might want to check to see if this Brother printer has that
capability too, or at least something similar.

Have you checked with Brother technical support?
