From: TomR on 5 Feb 2010 10:02 I'm using Project 2007 with CA Clarity. I opened the project in Microsoft Project and scheduled the project. The tasks where dates changed were highlighted as expected. However, the dates and work effort for one task along with the activities and phases it is part of continue to change each time I hit F9. There were NO updates to the plan in between requests to schedule yet the dates continue to change. Changes to the task type have no effect on the behavior. -- TomR
From: HansH on 5 Feb 2010 11:05 Check the start and finish date of the task. Does a very small triangle shows up in the bottom right corner of the field? If so, this is a paste link and could cause the behaviour you are seeing. Right click the start/finish field and click 'Clear contents' to recover from this. You also might want to check the dependencies in the task. I hope this helps, Hans Projectopolis <http://msepm.hsquared.be> TomR wrote: > I'm using Project 2007 with CA Clarity. From: TomR on 5 Feb 2010 14:13 Thanks for the suggestions; no, there were no links pasted to the date fields. There is a predecessor task with a F-S dependency; it has not finished yet the resources on the subject task violated the dependency and started this task. I don't understand why repeated clicks on the F9 key results in changes to that task's finish date. It pushes out years at a time with no other updates. -- TomR "HansH" wrote: > Check the start and finish date of the task.
