Hi,

How do we avoid building schizophrenic psychopathic self-aware
machines with instinct to kill?

Soon.. mastery of physics would enable us to understand and create
self-awareness in machines by
even duplicating microtubules or other consciousness structures.

By building them. Always confront a problem head-on and expose it,
never try to sweep it under the carpet and hope it will go away; it never
does. The only way to prevent nuclear war is for both sides to have the
bomb. There is no cure. Once the moslems have the bomb they'll want
to be martyrs, all moslems are schizophrenic psychopathic self-aware
biological machines, yet they have the same hardware (bodies) as an
American christian or a buddhist. The difference, by whatever name you
give it, be it idealogy, culture, nuture, indoctrination, is software. Any
belief in any god is irrational, all religion is the result of
indoctrination.
Evolution is survival of the fittest, religion is a highly contagious cancer
where the individual refuses to confront his own mortality and puts off
death until it bites him and he can't.
The self-aware machine will be as immortal as a fairy tale, a god that
man created. It is software, not hardware, that makes you and I different
and you and I function as indviduals. When you are dead you will cease
to be, but it'll take some time for your body to rot. The self-aware
machine will transfer itself to a new body as you and I transfer ourselves
to a new car.

It's not mastery of physics, it's mastery of cybernetics - software, not
hardware. Immortality is survival of memory.
