The above is an example. But Maplesoft ruined the user interface around version 9 or so, and now I hate using Maple for this reason. When using Maple interface, I feel like I am using microsoft word 95 on window 98. Too bad, many nice mathematics are hidden inside Maple, but the gateway one must use is so ugly it makes one turn away. --Nasser

Yes. But there is still the Classical interface (though its 'support' is frozen), which is what you had before.

May be by next version? Which means the time investment I make to learn Maple will be wasted, since I will be forced to use the Java interface to use Maple, which I dislike so much and do not want to use. Only other option left would be to use the command line interface with Maple. Not too exciting options for me. I buy Maple each year, I have all versions from version 8 to Maple 14, hoping the new interface will be more usable. I gave up on Maplesoft. --Nasser |
