From: Rishi on 2 Apr 2007 21:51 Program: Networdz Ware: (Freeware) http://www.scrabbleon.org/ http://www.scrabbleon.org/get.htm (the site has online play too) Susan, Thanks for your note. While I already have the three other SW that you mention, I tried to download and install the above. I believe I am experienced enough to follow the elaborate instructions for installing it on Windows XP but I did not succeed. It seems that it is no longer a freeware and needs registration by payment. Could you please check. Thanks. Regards. Chaturvasi aka Rishi Madras that is Chennai, India

The ONLY requirement is that you are using WINDOWS for your operating system." arghhhh. . . . It's a fairly old program. I assumed this site had done something clever re installing Networdz on Win XP. That will teach me not to make rash assumptions. erm. . . *should* teach me not to make rash assumptions. ;) Anyway. . . I suggest you download the "Networdz For Windows 95/98/ME Users" file and unzip it with IZArc or 7-Zip or whatever: http://www.scrabbleon.org/exe/ttile95.exe 763 KB (781,618 bytes) One of the files will be "install.bat" - run that and the program should install itself in a C:\Networdz directory I'm also using Win XP and all the bits and pieces seem to be there (I set up a "me versus the computer" game and played a few words. . . Just FYI you can download that same Networdz file (with a different file name) here: http://www.zamazam.com.au/scrabble/ http://www.zamazam.com.au/scrabble/scrabblesetup.exe Susan -- Posted to alt.comp.freeware Search alt.comp.freeware (or read it online): http://www.google.com/advanced_group_search?q=+group:alt.comp.freeware Pricelessware & ACF: http://www.pricelesswarehome.org Pricelessware: http://www.pricelessware.org (not maintained)
