From: TaliesinSoft on 14 Jul 2010 16:17 I have a single administrator account and several user accounts. Each account has a background that is different from the other accounts, all of the backgrounds coming from a common theme. About once a month I change the backgrounds. There is a folder, Active, within the folder /Users/Shared. Within that folder are the backgrounds, one background .jpg for each account. The names of the .jpg files are the same as the accounts themselves. This allows me to change the backgrounds for all of the accounts just by replacing the .jpg files with a different set of like named .jpg files. I've used this system of managing account backgrounds for a number of years without experiencing any oddity until the most recent change. The oddity occurs when I log onto my most frequently used user account after logging off another account, and the oddity is that just as the newly logged onto account is opening the background which appears while the rotation effect is displayed is not that of the account, but is a no longer in use background. Once the rotation completes the background changes the one defined for that account. I've tried cleaning caches but that doesn't correct the problem. So, my hope is that someone might come up with a suggestion that does cure the glitch. -- James Leo Ryan -- Austin, Texas -- <taliesinsoft(a)me.com>

And just a few minutes after posting the above the thought came to me to momentarily set the background folder for the odd acting account to a different folder and then after logging off and on setting it back to the desired folder. And that cured the problem! -- James Leo Ryan -- Austin, Texas -- <taliesinsoft(a)me.com>
