Well, yeah-- I am but I can use the command line in a pinch, thanks. I've been around since DOS but hoped those days were behind me. I switched to Mac because things are suposed to be easy! Following Michelle's suggestion, I see PGP now has a Mac version and the free version does have the shredder feature I'm looking for. OTOH, if it's on the encrypted disk, I guess I can just delete it...

In my days with the DoD, your 'rm -P' wouldn't stand muster.
