Hi Gail,

The solution posted by Vincenzo Di Russo, I feel is correct and should
solve that issue for you. In my case, the installation of the latest
version of the adobe flash player over top of the old, was stopping
after *a small message box* indicated that the flash plug-in was
installed. There was no indication that the full installation was not
complete.

When the installation goes correctly, there is *a 2nd*, (much *larger
message*), describing that *the adobe download manager is running*. Once
the new version was installed completely, the security update installed
for me just fine.
