I just checked (but didn't install). It says 6.3 MB for the Security Update; another 173 KB for for a SMC Firmware Update. -- iMac (27", 3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4 GB RAM, 1 TB HDD) OS X (10.6.3)

For my macbookpro, software update shows an 2010-03 security update file size of 6.3 megabytes. The Server tools update was some 60 megabytes.

I was talking about the size of the Leopard security updates in the paragraph quoted above. They are about 210 MB (client) and 365 MB (server). The numbers you mention are the sizes of the Snow Leopard updates. As I mentioned in my earlier post, they are more reasonable sizes. -- David Empson dempson(a)actrix.gen.nz

Is it "all earlier security updates" or are they the "new" updates that come with the massive security fixes from 10.6.2 -> 10.6.3. That OS update had what must be a record number of security fixes. -j -- Jeffrey Goldberg http://www.goldmark.org/jeff/ I rarely read top-posted, over-quoting or HTML postings. http://improve-usenet.org/
