As we all know there are many segmentation techniques available and each techniques shows good result for certain types of images. I wonder is there any way to automatically select the best segmentation algorithm from the pool of segmentation algorithms for a given image based on image feature such as histogram, etc,. I mean, can we develop an algorithm for pre-analysis of the image and based on this pre-analysis can we decided which algorithm is best suited for the given image
