From: spm on 14 Jul 2006 13:03 Thanks, Drew, for the input. I'm not sure it has anything to do with the sender address at this stage, as the event id specifically alludes to the Sender ID filter not being able to determine the source IP address of the message. This implies a header problem with the emails generated by the fax server, and that is strengthened by the Help & Support info for the event id. OK, it's not a big deal, as I can of course ignore the events too. However, life would be easier if I could eliminate all unnecessary 'critical' events from the event log, as they waste a valuable part of my time each day. -- Regards, Steve.
From: chace zhang on 17 Jul 2006 06:32 Hi, Thanks for your update. Can you send me a real headers. Isn't the IP of the connection showing as 127.0.0.1 instead of the IP of the server? In general, the SenderId framework was designed to be implemented at the SMTP gateway, usually internal email is handled by internal mail servers. On the SBS case we share those functions, furthermore, we are sending email from the server to the server, thus we are bending the design of certain solutions, such as this one, so the event may just be something that can be ignored. Anyway, make sure you add 127.0.0.1 as one of the IPs in the list of bridgehead servers for senderid. Hope this helps, if you have any other concern on ths issue, plase feel free to let me know. Have a nice day!
