Then to make that highly-available, you'll need to look at a clustering
setup. This would be a complex task for someone not at all familiar with
clustering software.

How many users do you have and what kind of workload are you dealing with,
in terms of email per minute or some other measurement? It might not be
worth the trouble for a small userbase.
