killall -HUP sendmail I migrated from Fedora Core 1 + Sendmail 8.12.10 to Debian Sarge + sendmail 8.14.3-5 and I usually send "killall -HUP sendmail" to permit sendmail to read again configuration file (e.g. /etc/mail/access). MX records for smart hosts I ran into an issue on an AIX system recently and while I have it resolved, it's brought up some questions that I can't find answers to. Why do I have "host name lookup failure"? This is killing me, I am trying so hard to make this work and I am somehow missing something. I have sendmail setup to use my ISP as a smart host, use port 587, and use auth. I think I have that all setup properly, I used the settings from my prior sendmail setup that always worked.
