Either way it's no skin off anyone's nose and a tiny amount of time invested. Curious, I ran a test on his email address from the Headers: dmendoza(a)ain.cu . The results were [ comments in square brackets are mine ]: ============ Connected response: 220-mail.ain.cu ESMTP MDaemon 10.0.0; Sat, 19 Dec 2009 21:10:58 -0500 220 No esta permitido el uso de este Servidor como Relay de E-mails. sending: HELO response: 250 mail.ain.cu Hello mail.hq42.net, pleased to meet you sending: MAIL FROM tester(a)68.238.90.145 response: 451 <[68.238.90.145]> is invalid or DNS says does not exist Your server may not configured to accept "domain literals". Click here. This page last modified: October 06 2009 ========== I verified it at a second tester too and it equated to existing there, too. So apparently the e-mail address is at least real. I never actually sent an email to see if it bounced. I did also noted however, find that it was BLOCKLISTED on a gazillion lists<g>, but couldn't verify it at Robtex; so I might have been reading some other country's blocking comments. If I had to guess, I'd say it's just someone that noticed duplicates of names here on this list and also existing in Cuba, and the OP apparently doesn't realize that unless the "@..." is also identical, it's not a duplicate. Nice little touch abut the "great journalist". He must have meant well known or something. I found it an interesting sidetrip anyway if nothing else. lol, according to Robtex, the "entire tld is rfc-ignorant" in the blacklists report. Checking ain.cu at siteanalytics.com, they are apparently almost brand new. Min popularity and no other reputation points.
