Server-recovery of Windows Server 2008 from and to Samsung HD103UJ (1 TB) doesn't start; Error-Message: ~ drive too small... (0x80042407). Also: using 1TB-drives, I cannot restore volumes if they have the same size like the source-volume. With a bit larger volumes the recovery works well...

Any ideas? (before I buy 1,5 TB Seagate-drive)

Thank you!

Hello Jury T.,

Is the new disk partitioned?

Best regards

Hi,

Are you using the built-in Backup and Recovery function in Windows Server
2008?

What's the exact wording of the error message?

Sincerely,
Tim Quan
