From: bill marsano on 3 Feb 2010 16:58 I would like to establish default page margins so that every e-mail I composes sets itself up as automatically as it adds my signature--but I don't seem to have any control at all over margins. I'd like my margins to be about 60 characters wide in 10-point type. Evey time. Even though my signature sits about 2 inches from the left margin, every line I type begins at the extreme left of the screen and goes on to extreme right. It makes for poor readability. Now and then a little ruler comes down from the top of the page; it has little things on it that resemble the margin-setting devices on old typewriters. But often as not the rule disappears as soon as I try to access it. When I HAVE accessed it, the little devices have refused to move. When they have moved, they have no effect on the page set up. Some little dark black ''L"-shaped things also appear--and also do nothing. Oddly enough, I have established margins in Word: 1 inch left margin, for example. Not that that helps--the printouts always have 2-inch margins. Thanks to Russ Valentine for explaining the Outlook Express 'groups' =Outlook DLs. -- bill marsano |
