For the life of me I cannot figure out how to get ride of the blue gradient
background from a site. How can I remove this to make a solid background
color?

Hi,

If I remermber, the blue gradient is done with images depending on selected
theme : For the default theme, you could easylly which images are used in
the theme folder (cf. C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web
server extensions\12\TEMPLATE\THEMES\SPSKY).
Next, search in the theme.css file (in the same folder) where images are
used to do changes.
