From: Jun on 3 May 2010 00:28 Hi! I am currently working on double pendulum problem by using simmechanics. It was ok to make double pendulum with relative coordinate because there are lots of good examples. However, I couldn't make double pendulum with absolute coordinate. I checked Seth' Blog (Thanks Seth!!) http://blogs.mathworks.com/seth/2009/02/26/modeling-mechanical-systems-the-double-pendulum/ He actually used absolute coordinate to derive E.O.M for double pendulum. Also I checked this http://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/fileexchange/23126-double-pendulum This is good example but plotting for theta 2 is not started from 0. (according to Seth's E.O.M. theta 2 should start from 0.) How can I implement this model with absolute coordinate by using Simmechanics?? Thanks in advance. Jun
