Um, the point is that he and I already use new servers that blacklist a
lot of spam. He and I didn't ever see the post you replied to because
our host took care of it at their end.

YOU allowed a lot of people to see it, and, not only that, you quoted it
in its entirety, along with the full URL.

DOY!

Send responses to the relevant news group rather than email to me.
E-mail sent to this address may be devoured by my very hungry SPAM
filter. Due to Google's refusal to prevent spammers from posting
messages through their servers, I often ignore posts from Google
Groups. Use a real news client if you want me to see your posts.

In other words, William, you helped a spammer get past the filters
of hundreds, if not thousands, of people. Ironic, in view of your
munged address, and probably frowned on by Ohio State.

So again, people that log into comp.sys.mac.apps are stupid enough to
fall for this scam? Then perhaps they should be allowed to bankrupt
themselves - or move to comp.sys.windows.

So, again, YOU made it possible for A LOT of people to see the post. WE
are using news servers that filter out such posts at their end. YOU
propgated the spam that WE otherwise wouldn't have seen and, in doing
so, YOU quoted the entire post, including the URL.

THEN, after this has been explained to you several times, you continue
to fail to understand what YOU have down to HELP the spammer get his
message seen. I don't have the slightest idea how large or small a
percentage of people who see such a post in the first place are stupid
enough to fall for it, but you have done your part to increase the
number of people who have seen it, so you're aiding and abetting the
spammer.

Shall we continue to talk about stupidity?
