Not especially powerful if you consider purely function, but vaguely useful to have a few things in just one spot. What I'm -actually- looking for is a decent 7 port to 10 port USB hub. In fact, scratch that, what I'm -really- actually looking for is something like the recent uBoard that cropped up on various RSS feeds, only more geared to what I actually want to do with it: <http://www.techfresh.net/u-board/> These days I have lots of Stuff(tm). Four bits of music hardware (Kore 2 controller, M-Audio Trigger Finder, Behringer BFC-2000 mixer control surface, M-Audio controller keyboard), an iPhone to sync/charge and an external mouse/keyboard to plug-in. Sometimes the camera too, also the odd flash drive and possibly card reader. That's a lot of stuff. Something like that uBoard would allow me to put the majority of the music kit on top of it, something like the Simplifi would allow me to consolidate a fair amount of it. Where the uBoard doesn't work for me though is that it's been designed, as per the picture, to sit at monitor height level. The music kit would start obscuring things then - their picture shows it fine with an iMac but the straight cinema display sits lower. Also in use I'd want the Mac keyboard to sit higher with the controller music keyboard underneath and slightly forward, and the fixed sides prevent me from doing that. Ah well. Next up, a new house to put the stuff in. Cheers,

I like Belkin's tip: Note: If your desk does not have a pre-drilled hole in it, you can drill one yourself Stuart -- cut that out to reply
