Greetings Fellows,

For my final year project, which is, the design and manufacture of Anti-Collision device (or say a network) for railways, I need to know if Matlab or other Mathworks family tools can help me out in simulating entire work-flow and design of my project.

Basically, it includes simultaneous workings of different nature of equipments like GPS (Global positioning system), Microprocessor (80386), Sensors (like Radio Modems), Mechanical unit controller (for smart brakes) and a lot more.

What we need to do, is to find out some way to simulate the functions of all major components above, on Matlab. So that I can come up with simulation of our entire project before making it physically.

Problem is that, Matlab doesn't support all kinds of simulations. In my opinion, Matlab may not support simulation of Microprocessor or Sensors etc. In this case, I want to know, is there any way that I find out individual simulators for all equipments and let Matlab to integrate with them and give a combined result.

Help and suggestions are required. Please help us know how to get this all done by simulation.
