From: Balazs Nagy on 23 Jul 2010 10:50 Hi, I would like some information about the example program can be found in the simulink help menu, called : Regulating Pressure in a Drum Boiler. I would be interested about the type of boiler is modelled and the origin of the used equations (steam tables) within the model. Is there a reference or a bibliography to those equations? Thanks for any suggestions! Regards, Balazs
From: Helen Chen on 26 Jul 2010 10:15 Hi Balazs - I checked around with some of my coworkers and found: <snip> The Boiler model is a slight variation on the 2-state model described in "Drum-Boiler Dynamics, K. Astrom, R. Bell, Automatica, 36, pp. 363--378, March 2000". The steam tables were taken from the web, originally, here, http://www.engineeringtoolbox.com/28_101.html, but it looks like they have moved to here http://www.engineeringtoolbox.com/saturated-steam-properties-d_101.html. </snip> hths, Helen Chen MATLAB Central Team "Balazs Nagy" <nbalazska(a)freemail.hu> wrote in message > I would like some information about the example program can be found in the simulink help menu, called : Regulating Pressure in a Drum Boiler. > > I would be interested about the type of boiler is modelled and the origin of the used equations (steam tables) within the model.
