From: Kevin E. on 17 Feb 2010 19:47 That didnt work ether. Im begining think this version of windows is just not compatible with this slipstreaming stuff. Iv looked allover the net. Iv havent seen anything like this. When i purchased this cd it was labeled SP2B, but after i installed it i only had SP1 on the system. I had to update the rest. Could you summarize it in words? <cmd_output OS="W7"> Non-authoritative answer: Name: lookpic.com Address: 91.121.212.45 C:\>telnet lookpic.com 80 Connecting To lookpic.com...Could not open connection to the host, on port 80: Connect failed </cmd_output> > > The same thing happens with nLite. Has anyone successfully done this ? I don't know the answer to your question but I wondered why you were stopping at XPsp2. Then I found that instead of there being an SP3 for XP X64 somehow W2003sp2 can be used. Perhaps you should be trying to slipstream with it instead? ; ) http://technet.microsoft.com/en-ca/windowsserver/bb294403.aspx (Microsoft search for xp sp3 x64 2003 sp2 ) <quote> 1 Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 2 can also update x64 versions of Windows XP Professional. </quote> Actually I don't think it's clear from the migration chart there that this gets you anything more than XPsp2 X64. I guess you would have to use the MBSA XML descriptions of both updates to figure out which is more current. Good luck Robert Aldwinckle ---
