You don't say the operating system.

Try clearing the History, Cach and cookies out in Internet Explorer

On the macafee site , thats were I got a removal tool.
Norton also has a "bash_norton" program.
And last night I tested the "REVO UNINSTALLER", to kill
a M$ application.
