I am trying to resolve an issue where one user is having extremely
slow logon/logoff and slow network performance. It often takes them
10 minutes or more to log on and to log off. This happens for this
user regardless of the computer they sign on to. All other users do
not have this issue on any computer.

I am running SBS 2008 with only 5 computers and 5 users. This issue
only occurs for the one user. They have no mapped network drives,
they don't use any remote folders and they are not syncing any files
at log off.

Can anyone recommend a fix for this situation? Will deleting the user
and re-adding them solve the problem (I would rather not do this)?

Thanks,
Nick

Hi Nick:

From your description that it happens at any station on the network, might
it be you have instituted roaming profiles and that one one is corrupt?

I don't think I have roaming profiles on, but I will double check. If
I do and this one is corrupt, how do I correct it?

Thanks,
Nick

Larry,

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. After further
inspection, I noticed that there was a roaming profile setup for this
user and it was pointing to a network drive that I have been having
some issues with. I turned off roaming profiles to test it and the
user can now log on very quickly with no issues.

Thanks again for the help.

Nick
