Note that you can still use the T-Mobile stick - you just can't use Web
n Walk to connect and send texts etc. You can still connect the normal way.

I can't even do that - I can't find any way of getting Snow Leopard to
talk to the stick. It recognises the network interface, but won't
address it - no modem script I can find works with it.

What have you got in the settings in System Preferences -> Network ?

I have:

Configuration: Default
Number: *99#
Account name: t-mobile
Password: tm

(Oh and under Advanced the modem is just Apple V32)

Then hit "Connect" button.

Just tried, same thing. Console reports:

Sep 6 22:43:22 Ians-MacBook-Pro pppd[1859]: pppd 2.4.2 (Apple version
412) started by ian, uid 501
Sep 6 22:43:23 Ians-MacBook-Pro ccl[1861]: Apple Modems (V.32) script
Version 3.0
Sep 6 22:43:39 Ians-MacBook-Pro ccl[1861]: CCLExit: -6019 (Modem
error, modem not responding.)

Have tried with various scripts, it's just not having it.

Cheers,
Ian

I noticed in another part of the thread that your stick is something
other than the usual Huawei, so maybe there is something peculiar about
your particular stick.
