Ah, okay, I understand what you're doing now. I think the short answer is that using the real server means that you are not using OWA but the MS proprietary protocol.[1] > It could have been so simple to implement the iPhone version of things > into Snow Leopard, but Apple appear to have missed a trick here, IMHO. Unless they are two completely different protocols as I suspect. Regardless, it looks like you've had it until the relevant upgrades get applied. Can you "chain sync" messages from Exchange to the iPhone and then on to the Mac as a stop-gap? Regards, [1] But my knowledge of Exchange is not that detailed so I could be wrong. -- Bruce Horrocks Surrey England (bruce at scorecrow dot com)

Will be interesting to see how this applies to the iTablet if it ever appears. > > It could have been so simple to implement the iPhone version of things > > into Snow Leopard, but Apple appear to have missed a trick here, IMHO. > > Unless they are two completely different protocols as I suspect. > > Regardless, it looks like you've had it until the relevant upgrades get > applied. If the iPhone pings for a message, I'll just log onto webmail if I need to see a full-screen message / view or edit an attachment. -- SteveH 'You're not a real petrolhead unless you've owned an Alfa Romeo' Alfa 156 TSpark Sportwagon Veloce Selespeed - Alfa 75 TSpark Lusso - Ducati 750SS - BMW R100RT - Toyota Prius T-Spirit

That's strange - neither Exchange system I use produce anything useful like that in the long headers . Stuart -- cut that out to reply

I discovered that telnetting to port 110 (POP3) gives some useful information. b. -- <bas(a)bas.me.uk> <URL:http://bas.me.uk/> `...the Plain English Campaign [...] says some officials only use Latin to make themselves feel important.
