From: Jeff on 5 Dec 2009 14:35 When a bond matures, the transaction downloads from my FI as a "SoldX" in the action column. What does SoldX mean? When I try to enter a new transaction I can find no option to use SoldX. Jeff

Only "Sold" appears in the list of actions. If you're manually editing a transaction, you also enter an account to receive the funds. That's what makes it "SoldX." Regards, Margaret

Quicken no longer (since about 2004(?) uses the "SoldX" term; the function is now in Enter Transactions | Sell - Shares Sold. In the "Record Proceeds?" box in the lower left, clear the "To this account's cash balance" radio button by clicking "To:" and selecting your Checking Account or other appropriate destination from the drop-down box. My 2007Q Deluxe still uses the term "SoldX" in the register for such a transaction entered in the fashion you describe. If you don't use the "Enter Transaction" button but instead record the transaction directly in the register, SoldX shows up as one of the available actions. Tom Young

Tom Young That's what I see in 2009 downloaded transaction in my Quicken Deluxe 2008. It was not in the help and so I wondered. Jeff |
