From: Supergoof on 11 Jan 2010 08:09 Hello All I have a terminal server where a few users can't see their local drives even though they get mapped. They can access the drives with \\tsclient\c but they don't see the drives in file explorer. I have had the clients update their Remote Desktop Client to the latest version but the problem is still there. If they use another local PC they can see their drives so i presume it is a local problem with their PC's They both use Windows XP. I found that the Remote Desktop Client saves som information in registry under HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Terminal Server Client\LocalDevices\ but I haven't found the meaning of the values in that container. Have any of you experienced the same or have an idea as to why and what could be the cause of this. Regards Supergoof aka Bo Riis

C:\>net use There is a v6.1 for the remote desktop client. In fact there is a v7; see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Remote_Desktop_Services. From: Supergoof on 12 Jan 2010 03:13 I got an update from one of the users. If he connects to the Terminal Server from another PC using his normal account he can see his local drives. If he connects to the Terminal Server from his own PC using his normal account he can't see his local drives. If he connects to the Terminal Server from his own PC using another account he can see his local drives. I think this now boils down to two possible sources of the error. 1. His PC or some software on it. 2. His profile. Any suggestions would be helpfull.
