From: Bill Foley on 1 Jul 2005 06:59 Sounds like it has some sort of programming built into it. Open PowerPoint, click "Tools", "Macro", "Security" and change your security to MEDIUM. Re-open the presentation. If it contains code (and you trust the sender), click "Enable macros". Should work now. Holler back if it doesn't. -- Bill Foley www.pttinc.com Microsoft PowerPoint MVP Microsoft Office Specialist Master Instructor "mok" <mok(a)discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:88F30C22-27A2-4E2C-B66C-D9E04A0DBD31(a)microsoft.com... > hi all, > sorry for disturb. > i having problem with the pps files. > i am using ms office 2003 pro. > when i try to open pps file, the PP will prompt me following message: > "some control on this presentation can't be activated. They might not be > registered on this computer." > i try to uninstall and reinstall the PP, but the problem still there. > i installed PPviewer but the viewer also having same message. > the pps most come from forward mail and most of them i cant open it. > but some of pps is not problem. > please feel kindy to help. > thank you very much to all of you. =) > > >

Mok, It's possible you might have some activex controls inserted within the presentations. The controls do not travel with the presentation. They need to be present on the system or installed if you have received the presentation from another source. -- Regards, Shyam Pillai Handout Wizard: http://skp.mvps.org/how "mok" <mok(a)discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:88F30C22-27A2-4E2C-B66C-D9E04A0DBD31(a)microsoft.com... > hi all, > sorry for disturb. > i having problem with the pps files. > i am using ms office 2003 pro. > when i try to open pps file, the PP will prompt me following message: > "some control on this presentation can't be activated. =) > > > |
