After the doom and gloom of the news that Songbird media player was
dropping Linux support to focus on Windows and Mac first,open source
reacted as well,open source does.

"So here we are, Songbird is no more supporting Linux platform, so we
decided to create our own version, supporting Linux first, but also
Windows and Mac OS X later…
We had a long debate for the name of our project, and it's now chosen :
Nightingale.

All source code will be available on a Bazaar (bzr) repository hosted by
Andrew.

We have a forum (powered by FluxBB) and also a wiki (powered by
DokuWiki)."
