From: Leroy Quet on 27 Jul 2010 06:12 What's with the spammers changing titles of dozens of threads? At least on Google groups, many sci.math threads have been retitled "wholesale b2bsharing". ANNOYING! I wish Google wouldn't allow the titles of threads to be changeable in the first place! Were the titles changed as well for those of you who read sci.math via non-Google means: newsreaders, mathforum, etc? Thanks, Leroy Quet

For me, all they could change is the title of their own posts within the thread. Though I haven't seen one yet, so I suppose they're posting with already-killfiled hosts, names, or subjects. - Tim

Possibly, but I have a filter to kill any message with "wholesale" in the title. Such filtering is a valuable feature of a good newsreader. Ken Pledger.
