From: Akin Sahin on 3 Feb 2010 13:07 Hi, I cannot start the matlab automation server from the MS-DOS command window. When I write the command 'matlab -automation' in the MS-DOS command window, the automation server does not start. (BTW, writing the command 'matlab' starts Matlab, I have no problems with that.) I reinstalled the Matlab, but it does not change anything... I have a Windows XP as the OS and the Matlab version is R2007b. I would appreciate your suggestions. Best,
From: Akin Sahin on 10 Feb 2010 07:32 Hi everyone, The solution to my problem is found, thanks to the MATLAB support guys. As you can read it in the following link*, the reason for this problem was that MATLAB temporarily reserves too much memory address space during the initialization. The solution is a to define an environment variable, which disables the memory reservation. For further details see the link below. *http://www.mathworks.com/support/bugreports/398525 Best, Akin Sahin "Akin Sahin" <akin.sahin(a)gmail.com> wrote in message <hkce0b$rlf$1(a)fred.mathworks.com>... > Hi, > > I cannot start the matlab automation server from the MS-DOS command window. > > When I write the command 'matlab -automation' in the MS-DOS command window, the automation server does not start.
